Logical links are made to other subjects including Maths and English so that children acquire knowledge, skills and understanding in a meaningful context. Children learn through a variety of fun, stimulating lessons with emphasis on learning through practical activities. Take a look at the sample of work from our topic on living things and their environment. We've been typing instructions in literacy for a science experiment around plants and what they need to grow. We've been studying the Henry Matisse piece of art entitled 'The Snail' which has lead us to researching snail habitats. We have followed instructions to make minibeast puppets in Literacy. The children also enjoy reading the book 'Rosie plants a Radish'. All in all we've been having lots of fun!
