We learn about how the lives of children were affected by the war. We make model gas masks and Anderson Shelters and visit the museum to sit in a real Anderson Shelter. We love learning about Henry VIII and his wives in Year Three. We have a Tudor day where we dress up and make marchpane sweets, nosegays, and porianders. A favourite visit is to the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool to see the famous portrait of Henry VIII by Hans Holbein.
